About Us

Elm City Capital is a private investment group focused on real estate and real estate related projects that contribute to the evolution of the American city. We use our expertise in green construction, branding and online strategy to directly influence the direction of our projects and their impact. We play a direct role in the operation of our partners – Elm City Property Management and Grain Builders, giving us a keen insight into the market and opportunities on the ground. Currently, our geographic focus is Philadelphia.

Our primary focus of investments are the following:

- Low-Income Housing: We believe that operators have long ignored this segment of the real estate spectrum and that there is a lot of opportunity to invest in, impact and reinvent neighborhoods through housing. Working with partners, we seek to develop systems that understand and address the needs of the population while simultaneously investing in partnerships across the public and private spectrum that can add value to communities.

- New-economy Commercial: Most industrial companies have long ago left our cities leaving vacant and dilapidating buildings. We seek investments in properties that can successfully transform themselves to meet the demands of the growing creative economy.

- “Impact” Real Estate: We seek game changing properties that can transform a neighborhood over night with the right collection of financing, community and private partners.

Although financial returns are our primary focus, we consider ourselves a triple-bottom line investment firm – interested in the financial, social and environmental impact of our work.
